Café des Deux Moulins (Amelie's Cafe)
It's better to help people than to be like a gnome in the garden said Amélie Poulain in the French comedy film "The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain 'released in 2001 and nominated for five Oscars, starring Audrey Tautou. The French naive young was a shy waitress in a Montmartre café called Café des Deux Moulins.
The Café preserved alot of the 1950s atmosphere although it doesn't look exactly like it did in the movie. The menu offers the same delicious escalopes of veal in a cream sauce, beef files, calf's liver, green frisée salad with bacon bits and warm goat cheese, and pigs' brains with lentils.
The movie has developed in a real cult of Amelie for fans all around the world and the cafe on 15, rue Lepic is a must for all Amelie's fans visiting Paris.
