I liked

the sheer ridiculous nature of this road. It defies logic and could only have been built by someone like chauchesku. Is is stunning, the mountains are beautiful, the dam is incredible and the entire experience is breathtaking. however...

I disliked

we were stuck at the top in the tunnel during a sudden snowstorm and resulting avalanche. The snow wasn't cleared until well into the next day and the wind screaming through the tunnel almost tore the door off our rental car. That being said, the only thing that really bothered us was the sign at the bottom of the highway announcing the "pass is clear and open".

My daughter got married 2 years ago so we went to Romania to visit our family and give a chance to my son in law to meet them. Transfagarasanul was one of our targets.....the views are breathaking, definitely I would go again.
