Hawaii

Hawaii

The islands of Aloha are bursting with colour and culture, all set amongst some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery. Famed for its year-round tropical sun, surfing traditions and hula dancers, Hawaii has so much more to offer and prides itself on its wealth of adventure activities.

Maui Island

Maui Island

The second largest of the Hawaiian islands and claimed by many to be the most beautiful, Maui is known to locals as “No ka oi” – the best.

Kauai Island

Kauai Island

Spectacular natural attractions and nature in abundance are the hallmarks of Kaua‘i. So much so that its lush, tropical vegetation has earned it the nickname of the Garden Isle.

Oahu Island

Oahu Island

Known the world over for Hawaii’s largest city, Honolulu, and one of the world’s most famous beaches, the two-mile Waikiki Beach, O‘ahu is the gateway for most visitors to the Islands. And beyond the beachfront icons lies a tropical wonderland.

Molokai Island

Molokai Island

No stoplights. A scattering of visitors. The chance to truly live as the locals do. That’s Molokai today.

Lanai Island

Lanai Island

Hawaii’s most enticing island, Lana‘i has the feeling of a private island retreat. That is hardly surprising, as the island is 98% owned by the Lana‘i Company, of Dole Pineapple fame.

Molokini, Maui

Molokini, Maui

This small, crescent moon-shaped island lies just three miles off of Maui's southwestern coast. Just over 18 acres and rising 160 feet above reef-filled waters, Molokini offers visitors snorkeling and diving amongst a kaleidoscope of coral. Because of its natural abundance, Molokini was named a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District. Tours are available from nearby Maalaea Harbor, Kihei, and Lahaina. Early morning is the best time of day to explore this pristine reserve. If you're an underwater enthusiast, a visit to Molokini is a Maui must. ©2009 HAWAII VISITORS AND CONVENTION BUREAU
