Come with us to explore one of Nevada’s most visually stunning areas! Valley of Fire is Nevada’s oldest and largest state park, deriving its name in 1935 from the many red sandstone formations and contrasting beauty of the Mojave Desert. The surroundings are loaded with vibrant color, fantastic rock formations, and 3,000 year old petroglyphs. You will see nature’s work-of-art at Rainbow Vista, Atlatl Rock, and Fire Canyon, with petrified sand dunes sculpted into amazing shapes and contours only wind, water, and time could create.

Through your travels you will experience the magnificent backdrop of the Mojave Desert and learn about many Native American cultures. Your extensive tour stops at the Park’s Visitor Center, which contains several interpretive exhibits on the geology, history and ecology of Valley of Fire.
