Get to know the charming town of Suchitoto, that it is related with the foundation of San Salvador, City founded in the year of 1528, in the Nahuatl language means Place of Birds and Flowers. It´s located in the Department of Cuscatlan to the North of San Salvador, Suchitoto was swept up by the civil war. But when the Peace Accoords were signed, Suchitoto change its destiny, becoming an important tourist attraction of culture and peacefulness. Due to the war, the emigration of its inhabitants limited the imposition of modern construction, leaving this city as a living time capsule of the history of a country keeping its cobbled stones streets and colonial style houses
A boat tour on Suchitlan Lake is also included. The largest and the only artificial lake in the country where observations of migratory birds are frequently seen.
