Lake Gatun is situated in the heart of the Isthmus of Panama. It was constructed between 1910-14 to make the Panama Canal possible. From the lake’s shore we will board our fast panga style boats for a voyage of discovery. We’ll find hidden islands where Capuchin and Howler monkeys can be seen leaping in the trees above.
We will glide past lush rainforests to a scenic region of the lake and witness first hand the splendor and excitement of the jungle. Exotic birds, monkeys, slouths, iguanas, crocodiles and turtles that are native to Gatun Lake are just a few of the animals that you can view in their native surroundings.
