On this tour, a professional photographer will guide you through the historical and world famous Art Deco district after spending some time with you discussing the fundamentals of photography. An exciting photography workshop in one of the most renowned landmarks of the world is now here! Since the 20’s, Miami Beach has had the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world with over 1,200 pastel-colored buildings. Now you have a chance to gain a new perspective on taking photos and leave Miami with postcard quality vacation photos and knowledge of photography that will benefit you in the future. After discussing some 15 minutes about the fundamentals of photography such as lighting, composition, manual settings, white balance, File Formats (RAW, JPG etc.), color space, and depth of field among other key points, you will be ready to discover a world of symmetric lines, window “eyebrows”, streamline style and colorful buildings. Ocean Drive will unfold under your eyes. As the walking tour continues, the guide will work with you throughout the tour offering advices and best practices on how to improve the images while teaching the participants about South Beach’s vibrant architectural and historical significance. The tour will take place between Ocean Drive and Washington Ave. The tour ends on 7th St in Lummus Park, where you can shoot the iconic Colony Hotel. The experience will be closed with questions and answers session, photography critique and a departure gift. This tour can be taken by beginner and advanced photographers. All cameras are welcome, from professional cameras to mobile phones.

Policies This tour operates with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 participants, and it is conducted in English. While the tour guides are bilingual in English and Spanish, participants should have a basic understanding of the English language. Children under 16 only with adult supervision. Tour operates weather permitting. Miami Photo Tour takes place on sunny days only. Wheelchair friendly tour. Please wear comfortable shoes. Bring your camera; all are welcome, from mobile phones to professional ones! If you have DSLR camera (reflex) or point and shoot camera, bring also the camera’s manual, a fully charged battery (and an extra one, just in case), a polarizing filter (if you have one), any lenses you might have, and an eagerness to explore.
