Exciting adventure to the crater of the Ilamatepec Volcano, a scenic gem. The Ilamatepec volcano is the highest and most voluminous of the coastal range. With a height of 2365 meters above sea level, the road is narrow and difficult to cross. There are a number of break points from where you can admire the beauty of the landscape. Upon arrival at high altitudes, the winds are much stronger and you will be enveloped in clouds. The crater has an emerald green lagoon inside. From this point you have a breathtaking view of the Coatepeque Lake , Izalco Volcano, Cerro Verde and the Pacific Ocean. The view is simply breathtaking!
