Here, around 40 to 50 pottery workshops are in operation, varying in size from small family-run single room operations right through to massive ceramic factories. Some of these workshops date back over a century, and they continue to operate much like they always have, using the local caves as the base for their workshops. Yes, that’s right – caves!
