Itinerary Take a day trip from Beijing to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China, located approximately 45 miles (70 km) northwest of Beijing. Badaling is the most popular and well-preserved section of the 2,000-year-old architectural marvel. Badaling was built for defense and has 19 towers throughout its length of 12,273 feet (3,741 meters). Enjoy a Chinese lunch before continuing your day trip to the Longqingxia Ravine (also called the Dragon’s Rejoice Ravine), a beautiful ravine on the Gucheng River. An iconic landscape of the Longqingxia Ravine is the Jiguanshan (Rooster Crown Mountain). The day tour also includes a stop at the famous Longdi Jade Factory where you can shop for beautiful bargains. End the tour and transfer you to the hotel around 5pm.
