City Sightseeing and Golden Circle Afternoon Tour

This tour is a combination of tours Greater Area Reykjavik Sightseeing and Golden Circle Afternoon, ideal for those that want to make the most of their day.

We visit the Presidential Residence at Bessastaðir and Hafnarfjörður, the town where humans and the “hidden people” live together in harmony. We visit the restaurant Perlan, where you have an incredible view over Reykjavík and its surroundings. We'll also visit Hallgrímskirkja church, the University area and the old town centre where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi is located.

The tour takes a break in the city centre where passengers are dropped off to take a stroll or have lunch (not included in the price).

After the break we join the Golden Circle Afternoon tour, which leaves Reykjavík at 13:00 and head for the countryside to the National Park Þingvellir; renowned for its historic legacy and geological intrigue.

From there we continue our journey to the geothermal area surrounding the spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur and then to the majestic Gullfoss glacial waterfall. We return to the city over the mountain heath Hellisheiði.

Points of interest on the tour include: Presidential residence; Hafnarfjörður suburb; Restaurant Perlan - viewing point; Höfði house; Hallgrímskirkja church; Old town centre; Laugardalur recreation area; Þingvellir National Park; Gullfoss waterfall; Geysir hot spring area.

Inclusion

Round trip transfers from hotels located in central Reykjavik; Guided Tour; Transportation by bus to each sight.

Hours of operation

Available: Daily; Pickup at 8:30am, Departs at 9:00am. At 1:00pm we will return back to Reykjavik to join the Golden Circle Afternoon tour. Closed December 24 & 25.
