Hot Air Balloon: The unforgettable feeling of warmth and glowing air as it rushes skyward into the early morning darkness. At the launch site, your balloon comes to life and stands upright just seconds before whisking you into the heavens, rising up and up over the Sierra, and deep blue waters of Lake Tahoe. Faintly, the chatter of mountain quail, meadow larks, and blue jays fade as you drift over the dramatic contrasting scenery. Each breath brings the aroma of pine trees, alfalfa, and wood smoke softly lingering in the morning air. The mountains appear in all their splendor basking in the early morning sun as all to soon you drift slowly back to Earth.

Dogsledding: On Donner, on Sierra, on Tioga...and off you go, dogs barking, yelping, howling, fast as the wind through the pines, winding down the trail steady and powerful they go. This is a mushing adventure like no other, dogsledding through the high Sierra winter wonderland.

Transportation provided for all hotels in Reno and selected hotels in the Lake Tahoe area, Planning and Guide service, All required equipment, Food and beverage and any tickets required.

Itinerary Your balloon adventure starts at pre-dawn with our complimentary weather check followed by a shuttle pickup at any local hotel. Pickup times are pre-dawn and vary with the season. We help make it easy, providing weather checks, transportation and a continental breakfast en route. Continue with your dog sledding adventure. After a scenic drive, we drop you at the staging area for pictures and petting the dogs.

Participant restrictions

Guests must be between the ages of 8 and 70 years of age to participate. Weight restrictions (maximum): single - 250 lbs; double - 400 lbs.

Redemption instructions Submit voucher to Sierra Adventures office at 11 N. Sierra Street, Suite #101, Reno NV, 89505 to confirm tour pick-up time and location prior to departure date.

Policies Your weight, height and age is required for booking. Tour requires a minimum of 2 passengers to operate. Maximum 10 passengers. All medical issues must be advised and included upon reservation. All participants must read and sign a Release of Liability form before beginning any activity. Participant assumes all potential risks. Activities offered by Sierra Adventures are subject to seasonal restrictions, weather cancellations, and your physical limitations. Complete information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, will be included on your Confirmation Voucher.
