A lovely city in Spain, just 30 minutes by train from Madrid, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Segovia is full of history, with origins dating back to Celtiberian tribes. Inside the city walls, you'll discover important Medieval and Renaissance buildings from the 15th century. The city has beautiful squares, Romanesque buildings and numerous gardens to discover.
The aqueduct in Segovia, built sometime around 50 A.D. is a marvel of Roman engineering and one of the best preserved aqueducts in Europe. This is also one of Segovia's most important monuments, together with the Alcázar and the 16th-century Gothic cathedral.
