Lying just of the west coast of Sicily, Egadi is an archipelago of three islands: Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo. They have a permanent population of about 5,000 people, spread over the three islands. With a long history behind, the Egadi Islands are awaiting to be discovered. They have not changed much over the years and have not been yet invaded by mass tourism, so you can still find secluded bays and pristine beaches. The islands are home to the largest tuna fishery in Sicily, a long kept tradition, since 1874.
The islands have been inhabited since prehistoric times and the Paleolithic and Neolithic cave paintings on Levanzo stand as proof.
All three islands have been blessed with beautiful coastlines and azure waters, which will make you fall in love with anyone of the three.
