The island is 32 kilometers (20 miles) from Belize City and is accessible by water taxi or by small plane. The island is home to many species of coral, fish and has a very rich marine life.
Snorkeling in these waters is a unique experience. You can also try kayaking lessons, windsurfing or sailing. The island is best explored by walking, there are path crossing the island and it will not take you longer than 20 minutes.
