Bohol is an island and a province in the Philippines, and a popular tourist destination due to its white beaches and nice resorts. The province consists of Bohol Island and 75 small islands.
The many beautiful beaches are by far the only attraction, also the underwater life offers unique experiences. Both beginners and experienced divers have plenty diving spots to chose from.
There are around 1400 caves in Bohol, some even with historic significance. The most famous of all is Dagohoy Cave, named after Francisco Dagohoy, a revolutionary patriot who used this cave as his base of operations in 1744.
