The Tivoli park in Copenhagen was opened in 1843, as a theme park and public garden. It is one of the top ten must see touristic objectives in Copenhagen. And as it is situated right in the center of the city, you can't miss it.

With lots of things to do for everyone, you will sure find something for your taste. Dare and try at least one of the roller coasters and take a thrilling ride on a montagne russe. Not so brave? Than you can enjoy the many concerts and circus acts that will take place on the ground. You can also enjoy some theater pieces put on by local artists, on a small stage inside the park. And don't leave the kids at home, there are things to do for the little ones as well.

But Tivoli is not just an amusement park, it is also an opened-air garden, with more then 400.000 flowers to admire and with plenty alleys to take a long walk on.

And before you leave the park, you should try one of the 32 restaurants, and enjoy some traditional Danish food.

The park in open all summer, until the 20th of September, but in November and December, the famous Christmas Market is held here, creating a quite unique atmosphere.
