View of Lake Bled, Slovenia

Surrounding the only natural island in Slovenia, Lake Bled is a popular destination, not only for its beauty but also for the sport possibilities. The lake is 2,120 meters long and 1,380 meters wide and on the north side it has a beautiful medieval castle. Bled Island, situated in the center of the lake is home to several buildings, the most important being the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary, dating from the 15th century.

Tourists can take boat trips, enjoy swimming and even fishing. Walking, horse riding, tennis and golf are also available.
