Dettifoss

It is situated on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river and is part of Jökulsárgljúfur National Park of Northeast Iceland. It's 200 m3/s water flow makes it the largest waterfall in Europe in terms of volume discharge.

The waterfall can be reached from both sides of the glacial river Jokulsa, but the rough is pretty rough, so pay attention. On the west side there are no facilities and the view is hindered by the waterfall's spray. On the east side there is an information panel and tracks to the points with the best view.
