The park opened in 1870, and is the second oldest amusement park in North America. Located on a narrow peninsula on Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio, this 364-acre park holds the record for the most roller coasters in a single amusement park (17), most rides (75), and four roller coasters over 60 meters (200 feet) tall, making it the capital of roller coasters.
It also has two water parks, one outdoor and one indoor and a long white sandy beach.
