Kaliakra is a long headland entering the Black Sea in the northern part of Bulgaria, close to Romanian Border. As it's completely inaccessible from the sea, being a 70 meters high limestone rock, it was the best place for a fortress originally called Tirizis located on the very end of Kaliakra Cape. The entire area is now a nature reserve.
The longest cape in Bulgaria. Stunning views to the sea and the red cliffs. A place with rich history and many legends. Worth visiting. 80 km away, north.
