An authentic feast awaits you at A Taste of Jamaica at the Good Hope Great House. Your experience begins as you enter the original gates of the estate. Transport yourself back in time with this tour of the Great House, which has been restored to its former glory with period furnishings, paintings and decor. The tour and legacy of the beautiful plantation set the stage for your sumptuous meal. Relax in splendor as you indulge in a three-course lunch served buffet style. You will be surrounded by the Great House and its lawns, gardens and birds. The menu includes crisp, fresh salad, herbed rice and authentic Jamaican dishes highlighting our distinctive spices, such as curried chicken with mango chutney, escovitch fish made with local fresh catch and fried plantain – a Jamaican favorite! And for a sweet finish, sample coconut drops and banana muffins made with fresh fruit from in and around the estate. You will leave the estate with a new understanding after this delicious Taste of Jamaica. Rediscover by horse and carriage ride, the lands once owned by the largest planter in Jamaica- John Tharpe.

Your adventure begins as you settle into your comfortable river tube. Experience the cool waters of one of Jamaica’s legendary rivers. Sit back and enjoy the beauty of the hidden Jamaica as your guide navigates down the river. You will experience the river’s ever changing moods as she shifts from relaxed pools to rushing rapids. Watch for wildlife in its natural habitat as you float through this unspoiled, magical place and float away from your day-to-day world.
